“He is Not Here; He Has Risen!”
How many times have you heard those words? Whether it has been one time or more times than you can count, we hope you took as much joy from Easter this year as we did. The weather was fantastic (despite all the forecasts); the music was beautiful; the food was amazing. As great as all these things are, what really makes Easter possible? The answer is Jesus, without Him rising from the grave to conquer death, we wouldn’t have a reason to celebrate Easter at all.
On Easter Sunday, we love celebrating and praising Jesus with our family and friends. That is why you made Easter so special this year. With all of our signs, fliers, postcards, and emails, we had over 900 people join us (including church members and guests) at one of the three Easter Sunday services! We praise Jesus that you joined us and invited your friends to learn more about our Risen King.
Now that Easter Sunday has passed, (at least until next year) it does not mean that our work is complete. We have planted a seed in the hearts of many people. Our hope is to keep watering that seed of faith so that it grows into a beautiful flowering faith, much like the floral crosses you saw on Easter morning. We want people to continue to hear about the wonderful message. Keep showing the love of Jesus to people in your everyday lives, keep inviting people to worship with us, and keep turning to the empty tomb to see that Jesus really is not there; that He has risen indeed.
