Jesus tells the women outside his tomb, “Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, there they will find me.” (Matthew 28:10) This message was for the same disciples who abandoned & denied him just days before. Jesus calls them brothers! He forged a friendship with them, not by what they had done, but by forgiving them on the cross. God creates us for relationship with him through grace.
This Sunday, April 23, we will kick off a series of sermons about how God’s friendship forms our relationships. This week we’ll hear a sermon from John 13:34-35 about how God loved us first, so we love one another.
Join us for our post-Easter impact series, Friendship: everlasting love for lasting relationships, Sundays at Holy Word Austin (8am & 10:45am) and Holy Word Pflugerville (9:30am). We pray that through his word God’s friendship grows within you and changes you to become a best friend to others!
